Founder and CEO (Chief Entertainment Officer) Dan Hawkins has made this industry his passion and surrounds himself with individuals who demonstrate the same professionalism, values and approach to customer service that he does.  As a chosen career DJ, Dan (affectionally known as DJ Dan) has performed at literally thousands of successful events and weddings throughout the years and is one of the area's most sought after professional DJs.  Co-founder of the Baltimore Area Disc Jockey Association, member and former board member of the National Association of Catering Executives, and participation in many professional DJ conferences and workshops throughout the years, Dan takes pride in continually educating himself and doing his part in helping bring the industry to a whole new level. Staying on top of industry trends and constantly seeking ways to improve the overall experience for the client, Dan and his crew have the experience, know-how and talent to help you realize your wishes and needs.

Most notably, MusicMasters was selected as the DJ for NBC's "Today Throws A Hometown Wedding", the official DJs of the 2006 Miss USA Coronation Ball, featured DJ on TLC's "A Wedding Story", official DJs of the Todd Heap Foundation and Jonathan Ogden Foundation fundraisers, official DJs for the Champion Baltimore Blast indoor soccer, and the official DJs for the Baltimore Mariners and Harrisburg Stampede indoor arena football teams.  We've partnered events with many Fortune 500 companies over the years (along with Mom and Pop shops) and are exclusive with and recommended by many of the area's top country clubs, hotels, venues, public/private schools and fellow industry professionals.

On a personal level, MusicMasters and MasterTheMusic.com is family owned and operated by the husband and wife team of Sue and Dan Hawkins along with their two college age boys Jeff and Matt.  Perfecting the role of office manager, Sue takes charge in making sure that every detail has been handled and that all players are on the same page.  Her keen attention to detail and ability to pull everything and everyone together really gives our clients peace of mind knowing that nothing's being overlooked.  Jeff and Matt help with operations and continue to learn the business.
